In poor weather conditions and strong wind it usually is difficult to set up a tent with a geodesic construction. Many poles cross each other in several places. To facilitate pitching, the Saivo, Tarra, Staika, and Jannu have a combination of pole sleeves and clips. First you lay out the tent on the ground and peg it down. Then you put the poles into the pole sleeves and subsequently from the bottom up snap the clips on to the poles. The freely accessible poles on the outside of the flysheet let you tie on guy lines wherever the conditions demand.
